Update as of December 5, 2009

Dear Friends and Fellow-Servants in Christ,

Over the past fifty-four years, SGP has been blessed and enabled by the Master to be a publisher of sound Christian books and accurate Bible translations to the flock. I am seeking to continue the ministry's publication efforts. Praise the Lord for allowing us to continue to serve him for another year, and for bringing us through an extrememly tough year with a tough economy. It is my prayer that we might be allowed to continue to serve Him and be the instrument for delivering sound Christian Bibles and literature on his behalf throughout the world.

This past Spring, we relocated to an old school in Mulberry, Indiana. The school required and requires a lot of work, but thanks to a few friends and fellow-servants, we have managed to make sufficient modifications to allow its use for our purposes. We haven't had the funds to setup our Print-On-Demand printing equipment which has kept us from printing the 1 Volume Interlinear Bibles, New Englishman's Greek Concordance, and those title with page counts in excess of 828 pages. The building currently has 100 Amp electrical service and we need 200 Amp service to set up the printing and binding equipment. 

I am also continuing to seek money to get the KJ3 in print and ask your prayers for that purpose. I am trying to get the KJ3 reformatted in a smaller type size to get the page count down from 1200 pages to 828, which is the most that can be done by the print on demand publishers. This will allow us to come out with a paperback and hardback edition in a relatively quick period of time.

I am meeting with a brother and his son from Grand Rapids, MI this Sunday about the possible financing of the KJ3 leather edition Bibles. I would appreciate your prayers regarding this matter.

I am continuing to work on converting many of our hard cover titles to paperback to get the price down to a more affordable level. While many prefer hard cover titles for their libraries, the addition of a paperback edition will lower the retail price of these valuable books by $18.00 per title. For instance on the 22 volume set of the Works of Thomas Manton that would mean that we could sell the paperback edition as low as $249.00 with a retail price of $660.00, on the 28 volume Elsie Dinsmore series, the retail would be $549, the set would sales price will be $279 or about $10 per volume. All of the titles would still be available in hardback for library builders and others that want the hard covers, but the outreach of these works will now be to many more brothers and sisters in the Kindom.

I am hopeful that within the next few weeks we might have obtained some of the funding for me to bring you even better news, but must wait until the Lord develops that a bit further.

I guess that is a quick note for now. I'll try to update this page more often as we go forward.
